As someone that speaks both English and German, shouldn’t I tell them what their company name means in English?

  1. The supremacy of the English language is truely irritating at times.

  3. Very true about the Pajero. Not exactly good market-research by Mitsubishi. They changed the name to Monero I believe in Spanish-speaking countries.
Regarding the oddity of Bad Design… I suppose I should add that during my first visit to Germany many years ago, I saw the words BAD DESIGN written in big neon letters across a shop window in Köln (Cologne). The memory has stayed with me, and still gives me a chuckle.
I also got a big chuckle out of reading in giant letters FARTS = Fresno Area Rapid Transit System. Call me small-minded, but it was on every train station in the city of Fresno, California and no-one except me seemed to notice what it spelt.
