Very true about the Pajero. Not exactly good market-research by Mitsubishi. They changed the name to Monero I believe in Spanish-speaking countries. Regarding the oddity of Bad Design… I suppose I should add that during my first visit to Germany many years ago, I saw the words BAD DESIGN written in big neon letters across a shop window in Köln (Cologne). The memory has stayed with me, and still gives me a chuckle. I also got a big chuckle out of reading in giant letters FARTS = Fresno Area Rapid Transit System. Call me small-minded, but it was on every train station in the city of Fresno, California and no-one except me seemed to notice what it spelt.
The supremacy of the English language is truely irritating at times.
ReplyDeleteBigger Fail. We all know what pajero means in Spanish
